The Making of Mojo

Following an insight that interior specifications are becoming ever more demanding, we recognise the need to respond to different levels of comfort and materiality in the contract furniture market. This was the starting point for Mojo and what became our most demanding of chair project to date.

The Mojo Chair is a technically sophisticated polymer based chair, inspired by the form of a classic wooden chair made popular in the 1960s. The seat and backrest components follow subtle plywood forms which are the defining characteristic of the chairs identity. The chairs frame and arm rests follow the same wood inspired approach, however using a modern polymer material and manufacturing technique, which makes light of more complex wood forms and fixing capabilities.

This type of construction creates a dialogue with interior designers providing endless colour, material and comfort combinations. We have also invested in the latest digital product customising software, providing the ability to easily visualise thousands of different product combinations on the fly.
