UCS Sixth Form Hampstead

UCS Sixth Form Hampstead

UCS Hampstead collaborated with Lewandowski Architects on the design and build of their ambitious new sixth form social hub aimed at inspiring pupils to explore the excitement of learning.

The 300m2 development brought together a dynamic range of spaces, offering a flexible and innovative blend of zones for independent learning. The flexible spatial configuration, degree of visual transparency and acoustic control combined to facilitate learning outside of the traditional classroom context.

Mojo Standard and Ply chairs were specified through Spaceoasis for the project, chosen for their functional role as stackable breakout chairs with a contemporary design. The chairs were customised by Lewandowski Architects for suitability to the different zones. Origin’s Polly chairs are now made from recycled polypropylene in a more sustainable approach.

Mojo Standard chairs in white were chosen for their clean aesthetic, the all plastic chair is easy to wipe down at the end of a busy day in the cafeteria.

Mojo Ply chairs were chosen to signal a change in zones, but also for the added tactility and warmth brought to the project.
